Dear Friends,

Jahcaris is now a freshman at Roxbury Community College and works as a Group Leader in our Youth Program.

When he and his family arrived at Brookview, they were struggling to overcome the impact of three generations of homelessness. As a family shelter, Brookview was in a unique position to provide customized services for each family member in circumstances that often lead to family separation.Through Brookview’s education and training opportunities, each member of his family was able to build their financial stability, discover future possibilities, and develop the tools needed to meet life’s challenges with strength.

Now, his mother and father are starting a small business and preparing to purchase their first home. His sister is graduating high school early having already earned college credits and will soon begin nursing school early. Jahcaris is studying business management, and plans to join the family business when he graduates.
